back from the beach

Journal Entry: Thu Aug 21, 2008, 7:31 AM
Back from the beach with lots of new work to load in the near future, had to hit the road running - to much stuff to get done.
Mentioned earlier, I have a show coming up and I'll give more info on that in the next weeks or so.

Glad to be back, hope everyone is doing awesome. I'll try and load some new work soon, take care...oh and if interested I'm thinking about selling some of my older work (really cheap!) that I still have or have gotten back from galleries - into the new work and I'm really just not attached to the older stuff anymore. I'm bad, once I've moved on from my old work if it sticks around the studio for too long I'll freaking paint over it. I'll let everyone know when I've figured all that out.
Also you can still get some small works at my Etsy shop too:

Have a great day!

going to the beach...

Journal Entry: Fri Aug 8, 2008, 12:26 PM
I'm heading to the beach for a week and won't be getting near or even care to get near a computer for the whole time. I will be taking my brushes and paints but who knows if I'll get around to them (get me around ocean, beach and something good to drink and my brain simply shuts down...heehee).

Anyway, if you purchase a painting I won't be able to ship it out until after the 18th when I'm back.

Thanks and have a fantastic weekend and week!!! Remember, to make new yummy art so I can enjoy it when I get back!!

Oh and on another note, I'm having a show coming up in Sept., so if you are near by (you know, within the country or a neighboring country) definitely stop by, it's going to be fun. I'll give more details as it gets closer.

Ok, time to turn the brain off...where's the water...

And then there were prints...

Journal Entry: Wed Jun 18, 2008, 9:57 AM
I've just made a few of my paintings available for prints, might do some more just see how it goes.
New to the whole print game, so I guess I'll see if anyone is interested.

thanks, see you soon.

Bastard Cat Press

Journal Entry: Tue Jan 29, 2008, 10:55 AM
My newest adventure:

I'm still painting a lot, in a new gallery which has been keeping me pretty busy, but more on that later. I've been wanting to get into some new (old) for some time now and the opportunity came up at the end of last year when i was able to get an old Kelsey Victor Side Lever Press. I've been having fun learning and challenging myself with this new medium. I finally have my first stuff coming off the press for everyone to see. It's a coaster set celebrating the 2008 Chinese New Years! It's also in honor of my little kitty Oona (who is trying to take over the world) so it's a little quirky and may even make you laugh.

You can check it out here:

You can even buy a set if you want, they're cheap but really nice. I'll try and post a pick here too so you can see my silliness.

thanks, and take care!

The War of Art

This is an incredible book!!! If you don't read any other book this year, READ THIS ONE!!! You owe it to yourself as an artist and a person, it will change the way you look at your art, create your art and just plain see yourself. Steven Pressfield is a writer but what he talks about applies no mater what kind of artist you are, writer, painter, illustrator, scupltor, and on and on....it's about doing the work. Art isn't easy, if you want to do it, create it then do to - no excuses. I'm not trying to be mean, but getting art done is a battle everyday and you've gotta want it. I love seeing great art and meeting artist that really want and care about the work that they are doing. It's about your vision, your need to create so get out there and create and read this book, it will motivate you.
